- Maine (ME) — ACH
- Maine (ME) — PAPER
Coverage is source-specific and incomplete. Unknown does not mean invalid. A listed routing number does not establish account existence, ownership or payment acceptance.
Review current source coverage, dates and limits before checking a list.
Bank-published routing instructions: ACH, paper and domestic wire scope. These observations supplement rail sources; they do not assert rail membership.
Review your routing list. Keep evidence. Test the result.
For developers maintaining payroll, ERP and payment integrations: find input errors, review source observations, save a baseline and compare your next check.
US beta: try three rows before upgrading. Payment does not unlock missing bank names or unloaded ACH/Fedwire sources. Source coverage is included in each report.
Pro supports 50 rows per run; Business supports 250. Both include saved reports and manual comparison. Generated accounts use a generic synthetic format, not bank-specific account rules.
Compare current plans · Manage existing subscription · API documentation. Checking your full list first shows the appropriate access option and credit cost; it does not start a subscription.
GET /api/v1/us/routing/021000021 X-API-Key: YOUR_SERVER_SIDE_API_KEY
One API credit per lookup. Free API evaluation uses your existing allowance. All US plans include basic observations, source and date; Business includes full provenance.
Check a routing-number list
Pro: up to 50 rows. Business: up to 250. Paste routing numbers only, one per line — no account or customer data.
Your preview is free. Review unknown and historical observations before buying: upgrading does not add missing source coverage. To process more rows, use Check full list above to see your access option and quoted cost before any debit. Existing Pro/Business access is reused; payment issues go to account recovery.
Saved lists and comparisons
Load a list, run another check, then save it to compare. The same source file is not a new banking event. Comparisons are manual; no automatic bank alerts are sent.
US routing number questions
What does a routing number checksum prove?
It checks the nine-digit ABA structure and checksum. Passing does not prove bank assignment, account existence, ownership or payment acceptance.
Are ACH and wire routing numbers always the same?
Do not assume they are interchangeable. Check the payment rail and instructions supplied by your bank. Unloaded sources remain unknown here.
Which US sources are covered?
The routing beta includes FedNow observations. The separate institution directory contains FDIC and NCUA records. Bank names and FedACH/Fedwire assignments are not inferred from institution records.
Do banks in the United States use IBAN?
US domestic accounts do not use IBAN. Routing numbers identify a routing destination; account numbers are separate. Use synthetic fixtures only in test environments.
Can I check a CSV routing list?
Preview up to three rows free. Pro supports 50 rows per run and Business 250, with saved reports and manual comparison. Invalid rows cost zero credits.
